On Friday, February 24, 2012 The 3rd Annual Calgary Motionball Gala brought together young professionals, local celebrities, donors, volunteers, sponsors and Special Olympics athletes at Flames Central.
Hosted by CTV's Camilla Di Giuseppe and Entertainment Tonight Canada's
Rick Campanelli, this 1940’s Hollywood Glamour themed affair was sold out way before the actual date of the event!!
“There’s a reason motionball has sold out the last three years and is recognized as a must-attend charity event for Calgary’s young professional crowd,” said Paul Horton, Director of Calgary’s motionball Gala. “Motionball is a national movement that’s bringing understanding and acceptance to the abilities of people with intellectual disabilities in a way that resonates with our city.”
All guests also enjoyed live entertainment from Canadian recording artist Jully Black and the Woodhouse Big Band, and could experience an exclusive Under Armour underwear fashion show as well.

The ticket included complimentary drinks, a dessert buffet, as well as raffles and a luxury silent auction from which proceeds went to support Canada’s Special Olympic athletes.
With the help of a dedicated, passionate Board, generous donors and sponsors, including Air Miles, Molson Coors and Under Armour,
Motionball aims to donate $1 million annually by 2014.
To date, Calgary’s motionball Gala has donated $140,000 to Special Olympics.
There is nothing better than combining amazing event with such a wonderful cause!! Big Congratulations to organizers and all volunteers who put their work & energy together so we could have such an amazing night in Calgary!
