What an evening...!!!!! I heard this statement many times right after the actual event - "T'was The Night" - the biggest, private, after-hours shopping benefit that
Calgary has ever seen!!!
On the evening of November 30th, 2011, the Core (TD Square/Holt Renfrew) attracted over 7.500 people to celebrate the kick-off to the holiday season, the multi-million dollar renovation of the Core and support two non-profit organizations who are changing the landscape of urban Calgary - the United Way's "BeCause"initiative and
the National Music Centre Project.
Just that night approx. $40.000 was raised to support these two local charities!!
During the evening, Calgarians not only had a chance to do actual Christmas shopping but also could walk on the red carpet and take photo with international blogger & eTalk host - Lainey Lui (www.laineygossip.com); admire the Core's spectacular new 45-foot Christmas Tree (the tallest of its kind in Western Canada); but one of the most exciting part was for sure a special holiday performance by Juno Award Winning artist - Chantal Kreviazuk, and other performances around the shopping centre - including the Calgary Girls Choir!!!
Looking forward to see more of those kind of events in Calgary!!!
