IN THE "TIE" WORLD FEATURING LVJ HABERDASHER...

When it comes to ties, bow-ties - there is plenty of them on the market these days-but to find the good quality ones - it can be a challenge. The together with quality comes price tag which sometimes holds us back from making buying decision.

Just recently, I was introduced to LVJ haberdasher - brand created in 2012 by Luke James started LVJ with help, support and ideas of his close family. LVJ haberdasher is owned and operated by the family and they want to keep it this way. Everyone in the family brings a unique skillset to the table -that way they have really been able to leverage everyone’s strengths.
And what's most important for me - they are from Calgary!!!!

They started becoming increasingly disgruntled, and the idea to start their own accessories company was born - with several principles that will never change.
First, it was very important for them that all of their accessories would be all made by hand. There is just no other way to pay the proper attention to details and provide the proper quality without making accessories by hand. Secondly, they wanted to provide truly unique accessories that were classy and would suit a gentleman. Lastly, their accessories are made in North America. There is just something to making something close to home.

What I found very important for me to know is that not only they put hours of testing and research into every detail of your tie & bow tie, but also they are designing all width, materials and patterns from scratch.
LVJ haberdasher sources the absolute best materials and fabrics to hand make their ties.
Most of the fabrics come from top mills in Italy and the UK and they use the best thread they could find, Japanese silk, and the top quality interfacing sourced from a UK mill. What is also very interesting-they don’t cut any corners!!!!

The brand goal is definitely to provide quality alternatives in men’s accessories to both men who already know how to dress, as well as men who would like to step up their dress.
"We feel our ties and bow ties are just that, the one piece that can really set you apart", says Luke James.
