The CORE Annual Stampede Fashion Show

It's this time of the year, when Calgarians could experience the largest fashion show on Stephen Avenue presented by the CORE (TD Square/Holt Renfrew).
For those, who couldn't attend this fun event - it was a free show featuring some of Calgary’s favorite faces modelling contemporary Stampede style. The show featured modern western wear from the CORE’s retailers including Holt Renfrew, Harry Rosen, Brooks Brothers and H&M, and classic Calgary Stampede cowboy hats from Smithbilt Hats Inc. Models , from Sophia Models International, who were presenting great selections of wardrobe also included VIP models:-), like humanitarian Amanda Lindhout; Chatelaine Magazine’s Entrepreneur of the Year, Zahra Al-Harazi; rising country star, Ryan Laird; and local media personalities Ryan Massel (Mr. Fabulous), Michelle Magnan, and Robyn Adair.

The fashion show presented by CityTV on-location host, Jill Belland, was an announcing moment for the winner of the 100 Days of Stampede Style Contest, where one local Calgarian would win $10,000 in shopping prizes from the CORE.

After receiving hundreds of photos from Calgarians showing off their own takes on contemporary Stamede Style, three finalists have been chosen by the CORE’s expert style judges: Jill Belland from CityTV’s Breakfast Television; Yvonne Jeffery, Editor of real life at the Calgary Herald; and Robyn Adair, On-air radio host for Country 105 Radio.
And the winner, who was announced after the fashion show, is Jordan Craig - Calgarian singer/songwriter and graphic designer who mixed the modern version of the Canadian tuxedo, denim on denim, with leather accessories and uniquely colourful shoes. Congratulations!!!
