CALGARY INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL 2011 & OPENING GALA

It's this time of the year movie-lovers and party fans alike were waiting for - the Calgary International Film Festival 2011.
Last Thursday, on September 22nd, all CIFF fans as well as invited guests had a chance to gather together for the Opening Gala. The evening begun in front of the globe Cinema when the red carpet entrance opens for the world premiere screening of Donovan's Echo (Jim Cliffe, 2011). The film presented wonderful story of Donovan (Danny Glover) - a man that has deja vu or premonitions from his past that echo in the future. Although personally really like this thriller - I've heard different comments-not always the best one - about it. Well, we all have various taste and different expectations.

Following the movie was the gala, where one of presenting sponsors - Moet & Chandon invited all guests with its tasty bubbles and those, who felt little bit hungry - could satisfied their stomach trying the edibles provided by Calgary's food trucks. The Eight Avenue Place looked really nice filled with very fashionable people. Big Thank You words to the CIFF organizers as well as all the sponsors, including Citytv & Fashion Magazine for putting together such a great event!!!
We all are looking forward to see more screenings and don't forget to get your tickets for Alberta Premiere of Take this Waltz (Sarah Polley) - which close the Calgary International Film Festival on October 1st, 2011.
